SPIRIT NIGHT AT BRAIN FREEZE CAFÉ
SCJH’s first spirit night of the year is being held at Brain Freeze Café on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Come on down to 2217 7th Ave in Vero Beach for some amazing food from Brain Freeze’s menu and they will donate 10% of your total bill back to SCJH. In addition, all students who attend will be given a dress down pass. You must have your Spirit Night flyer handy, so be sure to stop by the SCJH sign in table to get yours.
There will be no school on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. We hope all of our SCJH families have a safe and happy day off!
ILLNESS AT THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL
The first days of school are for seeing old friends and sharing stories of their summer fun. Unfortunately, it can also mean sharing summer germs. SCJH has had a busy first couple of weeks in the clinic. Attached to this email, you will find several excellent resources for the upcoming flu season. Please remember, if your student is displaying symptoms and has a fever, he or she is not allowed to return to school until they are fever free (without the aid of medication) for 24 hours.
FOCUS IS YOUR FRIEND
As parents, we check our email every day. We check our bank account every day. It is equally important that we check our students FOCUS account every day. FOCUS takes the surprise out of the report card. . Checking FOCUS every day can help you identify potential academic issues early. FOCUS is also a great way for parents and teachers to communicate. Haven’t created your parent FOCUS account yet? Attached to this email you will find the complete instructions for creating your account.
VOLUNTEERING HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER!
SCJH now has a fun, easy way to log your parent volunteer hours. TrackItForward is an exciting program that allows you to log your hours, sign up for school events and track your progress.
Simply click the link below to create your account and get started……
Please remember that this is for parent volunteer hours only. Students are required to complete their “Student Volunteer Form” and return to the front office.
